Accompaniments

Plural of accompaniment; things that go along with or support something else, especially in music or as side dishes in a meal.

From accompany (Old French origin) + -ment suffix creating nouns, then pluralized with -s. Originally meant 'the act of accompanying,' evolved to mean the things that accompany.
