Accurate means completely correct or very close to the true value. It describes information, measurements, or descriptions that match reality.

From Latin 'accuratus', meaning 'done with care' or 'careful', from 'ad-' (to) + 'cura' (care). Over time, it shifted from meaning 'carefully done' to 'correct because it was done carefully'.
