Acenesthesia

An abnormal or distorted sensation, particularly a feeling of numbness or loss of normal feeling in a body part.

From Greek 'a-' (not/without) + 'kenēsis' (movement/change) + '-aesthesia' (sensation). The term emerged in 19th-century medical language to describe unusual sensory experiences.
