Acquiescement

The act of acquiescing; acceptance or agreement to something without protest, often reluctant.

From acquiesce (Latin acquiescere, 'to become quiet at') plus -ment (Latin -mentum, a suffix creating abstract nouns). The -ment suffix turns verbs into nouns describing the action or result of that verb.
