Actinophryan

Relating to or describing members of the genus Actinophrys, a group of sun-animalcules or heliozoans with radiating pseudopodia.

From Actinophrys (genus name, from actino- 'ray' + Greek ophry- 'eyebrow,' oddly enough) + -an (adjective suffix). Part of early microscopic taxonomy.
