Adamantine

Unbreakable; impervious to persuasion; diamond-like in hardness and brilliance.

From Greek 'adamantinos,' from 'adamas' (unconquerable) — 'a-' (not) + 'daman' (to tame). The word 'diamond' comes from the same root. Also: 'adamantium' in X-Men was inspired by this.
