Adminiculation

The act of supporting or propping up; the provision of corroborating evidence or auxiliary support.

From Latin adminiculatio (support), from adminiculatus. The -tion suffix creates a noun of action or process. This term developed in medieval legal Latin and appears occasionally in historical English legal texts.
