Adonic

Relating to a metrical foot used in poetry, consisting of one dactyl (long-short-short) followed by a stressed syllable.

Named after the Adonic meter which was used in Greek lyric poetry, particularly in songs about Adonis during the Adonia festivals. The name derives from its association with Adonis worship and the poems sung at those celebrations.
