Adsbud

/ˈædzˌbʌd/ interjection

An archaic mild oath or exclamation expressing surprise or emphasis (also 'odds-bud').

From 'God's bud' or possibly 'God's body,' minced oath that replaced religious oaths to avoid blasphemy. Common in Early Modern English as a euphemistic substitute for stronger oaths.
