Aeropause

/ˈɛərəˌpɔːz/ noun

The boundary between the Earth's atmosphere and outer space, typically at altitudes where air density becomes too thin to support conventional aircraft.

From aero- (air) + pause (boundary or stopping point, from Greek pausa). The term was coined in the space age to describe where aeronautics ends and astronautics begins.
