Aerosiderolite

A meteorite that is a mixture of stone and iron, falling between purely iron and purely stone meteorites.

From 'aero-' (air) combined with 'siderolite,' which blends 'sidero-' (iron) and '-lite' (stone). This classification term was developed in the 19th century as meteorite science became more sophisticated.
