Aery

The nest of a bird of prey like an eagle or hawk, built high on a cliff or tree; also spelled eyrie or eyry.

From Old French aire, from Latin area (open space). The term evolved to mean the high nesting places of raptors, becoming poetic shorthand for any lofty, isolated dwelling.
