Affronted

Feeling insulted, disrespected, or offended by something someone said or did.

From French 'affronte' (disgraced, insulted), derived from 'affront' (to insult), from Latin 'ad-' (to) + 'frons' (forehead). The idea is that an insult is 'thrown in your face,' literally at your forehead.
