Aftermass

In some religious contexts, a shortened or supplementary service that follows the main mass or church service.

Compound of 'after' (Old English æfter) and 'mass' (Old English mæsse, from Church Latin missa meaning the dismissal, hence the service). A religious term with medieval ecclesiastical origins.
