Alalunga

A species of long-finned tuna (Thunnus alalunga), also called albacore tuna, found in Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian oceans.

From Latin ala (wing) + lunga (long), referring to the characteristically long pectoral fins. The Linnaean scientific name preserved this Latin descriptive etymology.
