Albacora

A large game fish found in tropical and subtropical oceans, similar to or another name for the albacore tuna.

From Portuguese albacora, likely derived from Arabic al-bakara. The word spread through Portuguese and Spanish maritime trade in the Atlantic and became common in fishing communities.
