Alchemising

Present participle of alchemise; the act of transforming or converting something mysteriously or magically.

From alchemise (British form) + -ing suffix. Alchemy comes from Arabic al-kīmiyāʾ, possibly from Greek khēmeia (working with metals), with roots in Egyptian or Greek origins still debated by scholars.
