Amaranthine

/ˌæməˈrænθɪn/ adjective

Immortal, undying, unfading; of a deep reddish-purple color.

From Greek 'amarantos' (unfading) — 'a-' (not) + 'marainein' (to wither). The amaranth was a mythical flower that never fades. Milton placed it in Paradise Lost as a flower of heaven.
