Ammonitoid

Any member of the order Ammonitoidea, an extinct group of coiled cephalopod mollusks closely related to ammonites.

From ammonite plus -oid (Greek -eidēs 'resembling'). This taxonomic term groups together all ammonite-like creatures, used in paleontology to discuss the broader cephalopod group.
