Analogise

To make or draw an analogy; to explain or understand something by comparing it to something else that is similar in some way.

From Greek 'analogia' + English verb suffix '-ise' (British spelling) or '-ize' (American). This verb emerged as analogy became a recognized cognitive and rhetorical tool.
