Angrite

A rare type of meteorite, typically dark and containing silicate minerals, named after the Angra dos Reis meteorite that fell in Brazil.

Named from Angra dos Reis ('cove of the kings'), a Brazilian city where a significant meteorite fell in 1869. The meteorite was so unique that scientists created a new classification category named after its location.
