Antiannexation

Opposition to or the act of opposing the takeover or attachment of territory by another country or entity.

From anti- (against) + annexation (from Latin ad-, to + nexus, bound). The term became prominent in 19th-century politics when empires were aggressively expanding and some groups resisted territorial conquest.
