Relating to the Antilles, a group of islands in the Caribbean Sea that includes the Greater and Lesser Antilles.

From Antilles (from Spanish Antillas, of uncertain ultimate origin, possibly from Antilia, a legendary island) + -an (relating to). The Antilles have been called this since European contact with the region.
