Antiozonant

A substance added to rubber or other materials to protect them from damage caused by ozone.

From anti- (against) + ozone (from German Ozon, from Greek ozein 'to smell') + -ant (agent noun suffix). Developed in the rubber industry in the 20th century as ozone damage became a recognized problem.
