Antipyresis

The process of reducing or counteracting fever; the natural or medical mechanism of fever reduction.

From anti- (against) + pyresis (from Greek pyr, fire). Medical terminology uses Greek 'pyresis' (fever state) to name the therapeutic process of fighting fever.
