Antritis

Inflammation of an antrum, particularly inflammation of the maxillary antrum (a sinus cavity in the cheekbone).

From 'antrum' + '-itis' (inflammation, from Greek). This medical diagnostic term became standard in 19th-century pathology as doctors developed terminology for identifying inflamed anatomical structures.
