Aphanozygous

In botany, describing plants where the chromosome pairs or sexual characteristics are not clearly visible or are obscure.

From Greek 'aphanes' (invisible), 'zygon' (yoke, pair), and '-ous' (having quality of). The term combines concepts of invisible + paired structures, used in botanical genetics and morphology.
