Aporocactus

A genus of cacti with long, thin, trailing stems that produce bright pink or red flowers, commonly grown as hanging houseplants.

From Greek 'aporos' (impassable, porous) combined with 'cactus,' referencing the plant's small pores. The genus name was coined in the 19th century to describe these distinctive Mexican succulents.
