Ararauna

The blue-and-yellow macaw, one of the largest and most recognizable macaw species with bright blue and golden-yellow plumage.

From Portuguese and Tupi, where 'arara' means macaw and 'una' means black or dark. The scientific name of the blue-and-yellow macaw is Ara ararauna. This is the most internationally recognized macaw species.
