Archdeanery

The office, jurisdiction, or residence of an archdeacon; the territory over which an archdeacon has authority.

From 'archdean' plus the suffix '-ery' (a place or position associated with something), following the pattern of 'deanery.' Emerged in Middle English ecclesiastical terminology.
