Arrent

To rent or lease out property or land to another; to grant a lease or tenancy.

From Old French 'arenter,' derived from 'rente' (income or rent), itself from Latin 'rendita' (rendered or paid). The verb form became less common as 'rent' and 'lease' became standard.
