Arrive

To arrive is to reach a place after traveling or moving. It can also mean to achieve a big goal or become well-known.

From Old French “arriver” meaning “to reach shore,” from Latin “ad-” (to) and “ripa” (shore). The sense expanded from ships reaching land to anyone reaching a destination.
