Arteriectomy

A surgical procedure in which a portion of an artery is removed or excised to treat disease or repair damage.

From 'arteria' (artery) combined with '-ectomy' (surgical removal), following the established medical convention for naming surgical procedures that became standardized in the late 1800s.
