A person who worships or venerates bread, particularly used historically to describe those who revered bread in religious contexts.

From Greek 'artos' (bread) + Latin '-later' (worshipper, from 'latria' meaning worship). Medieval theologians used this term for those who allegedly gave bread excessive religious reverence.
