Asklepios

The ancient Greek god of medicine and healing; the deity associated with physicians and the practice of medicine in classical mythology.

From Greek Asklepios (Ἀσκληπιός), of uncertain origin but possibly related to Greek askeon (wineskin) or connected to healing rituals. The name appears in the earliest Greek texts and was widely worshipped.
