Ataxiagraph

A medical instrument that records and measures involuntary movements or lack of muscular coordination by creating a visual trace on paper.

Greek ataxia (lack of order) plus -graph (instrument for writing or recording). Developed in the late 1800s as neurology advanced and doctors sought mechanical ways to document movement disorders.
