Auklets

Small seabirds in the auk family, similar to puffins, found in the North Pacific Ocean with distinctive features like colorful beaks and feet.

From 'auk' (origin unclear, possibly imitative of their calls) plus diminutive suffix '-let.' Auklets are smaller relatives of the larger auks like puffins and guillemots.
