Bactrian

Relating to Bactria, an ancient region in Central Asia; often used to describe the Bactrian camel, which has two humps.

From the ancient region of Bactria (in present-day Afghanistan/Uzbekistan), known to Greeks and Romans, the term was applied to the two-humped camel breed native to that region.
