Baker

A baker is a person whose job is to bake bread, cakes, and other baked goods. Bakers may work in bakeries, restaurants, or at home.

From Old English “bæcere,” built from “bacan” (to bake) plus the agent ending “-er,” meaning “one who does.” It is a very old job-title word in English.
