Bashers

People who bash or hit forcefully; those who attack, strike, or criticize harshly and violently.

From 'bash' (probably imitative, from Scandinavian 'bask,' to strike) + '-er' (agent noun). 'Bash' emerged in English around 1650; 'bashers' followed shortly after.
