Basiophthalmite

Inflammation of the base or socket of the eye; inflammation of the ocular tissues at the eye's base.

From Greek 'basis' (base) + 'ophthalmos' (eye) + '-itis' (inflammation). A rare medical term combining roots to describe inflammation of deep eye structures.
