Bassetite

A rare uranium mineral consisting of iron, uranium, and water, typically found in oxidized uranium deposits.

Named after the city of Basset or derived from 'basset' (exposed vein) with the mineral suffix '-ite.' It was named by mineralogists who followed the convention of naming minerals after locations of discovery.
