Beento

A West African term for someone who has been to Europe or a Western country and has returned home with foreign ideas or affected manners.

From 'been to' (as in 'been to Europe'), common in post-colonial West African English. It emerged in the 20th century as a humorous, sometimes critical term for returnees.
