Bhava

In Hindu and Buddhist philosophy, the state of becoming or existence, often referring to the cycle of birth and rebirth (samsara) in religious thought.

From Sanskrit भव (bhava) meaning 'becoming,' 'existence,' or 'state of being,' related to the root भू (bhū) meaning 'to be' or 'to become.' The term is fundamental to understanding Eastern philosophical concepts of existence and rebirth.
