Bigotry

Intolerance or prejudice toward people who hold different opinions, especially regarding religion, race, or other social groups.

From Old French 'bigot', possibly from an oath 'by God' or from Gothic 'bi goth' (by God). Originally referred to religious hypocrites, later expanding to all forms of intolerance.
