Bipartisanism

/baɪˈpɑrtiːzənɪzəm/ noun

A system or practice of cooperation between two opposing political parties or factions, or the principle of sharing power equally between two sides.

From bipartisan (two-party) + -ism (system or belief). Bipartisan itself comes from bi- (two) + partisan (member of a party). The suffix -ism makes it a system or ideology rather than just the quality.
