Biphenol

A chemical compound containing two phenol groups (hydroxyl groups attached to benzene rings).

From 'bi-' (two) and 'phenol,' which comes from 'phenyl' (a benzene-derived group) and '-ol' (denoting an alcohol or hydroxyl-containing compound). Used in chemistry since the mid-1900s.
