Blennenteritis

Inflammation of the small intestine (small bowel) combined with mucous secretions or discharge.

From Greek 'blenna' (mucus) + 'enteron' (intestine) + '-itis' (inflammation). The term evolved in medical language during the 19th century to describe intestinal inflammation accompanied by excessive mucus production.
