Blinkers

/ˈblɪŋkərz/ noun

Leather flaps placed on either side of a horse's eyes to restrict its vision and prevent distraction; also used metaphorically for anything that limits understanding.

From 'blink,' originally referring to the eye-flaps themselves. In British English, blinkers is also used for vehicle turn signals (called blinkers in American English too, though 'turn signals' is more formal).
