Blockmaker

A person who makes blocks, such as wooden building blocks, concrete blocks, or printing blocks used in manufacturing.

Compound of 'block' (from Middle Dutch 'blok') and 'maker' (from Old English 'macian'). The word emerged in the 18th century as industrial block production became a specialized trade.
